The Rebel softball team earned another in-league victory Thursday as they defeated Issaquah 5-1 at home.
Juanita began the game by scoring three runs during the bottom of the first inning. Both teams were held scoreless by good defense until the Rebels scored two more runs during the bottom of the fourth. Issaquah broke through during the top of the sixth by scoring one run.
Rebel Rachel O’Niell led the team by going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI, while Keana Miller was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Kylie Sparks picked up the win for Juanita by going five innings, allowing four hits, one run and struck out and walked two batters.
The Rebels traveled to Bellevue Monday at 4 p.m.
