Thursday marked the first shutout of the year for the Juanita High girls’ soccer team, which edged Meadowdale 1-0 in a nonconference match at Lynnwood High School.

Senior midfielder Bailey Arnold scored for Juanita (1-0-1) on a free kick.

Next, Juanita is scheduled to open Class 3A KingCo play against Redmond on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Redmond High School. Redmond is a new addition to the Class 3A division, having moved down from Class 4A this fall.
