The Juanita boys basketball team picked up a conference win on Dec. 14, beating Mount Si by one point, 36-35 and fell to Bellevue the following night 77-37.

In the win over the Wildcats, senior Kellen Gildersleves had nine points, Lee Woodward had eight, Brett Hamre put up seven, Devin Jackson had four, Nicola Stanjik had three, Nate Dean two, Ty Eng two and Ryan Reed had one.

The team traveled to Bellevue on Dec. 15, losing to the Wolverines by 40.

The Rebels didn’t hit double digits on the scoreboard until the second quarter and the team was unable to slow down a Bellevue offense, which posted at least 20 points in all but the final minutes of the game, when they scored 11 points.

Gildersleves and Reed had the team’s high of 10 points during the game, while Avery Britton had seven total, Jackson scored four, while Dean, Hamre and Taylor Williams each had two points.

LW stumbles against Totems

The Lake Washington boys fell to unranked Sammamish Dec. 14, losing 89-64 to the Totems.

The Kangs were down 53-28 going into the half, and couldn’t climb out of the hole in the second, facing a 68-47 break going into the final minutes of the game.

Darien Nelson-Henry had 19 points during the game, while Matt Staudacher had 12 total, Robert Reyes added 11 points, Guy Lynott had nine, Drew Doane had seven, Kramer Taylor put up four and Mike Hanson added two.
