The Juanita High boys' tennis team picked up their first point of the season in a nonconference match against Bothell on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Juanita High School.

The Juanita High boys’ tennis team picked up their first point of the season in a nonconference match against Bothell on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Juanita High School.

Nick Lammers and Sahir Karmali, the No. 2 doubles pairing for Juanita (0-2 KingCo, 0-4), edged Bothell’s David Lew and Evan Poremba 6-7 (6-8), 6-1, 10-7 — the first doubles or singles victory of the year for the Rebels.

Jake Haas played a close singles match, but lost 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 to Bothell’s Dylan Kato in his varsity debut.

Next, Juanita is scheduled to take on Bellevue on Thursday, Sept. 15 at Bellevue High School.
