The Juanita High School boys’ cross country team took five of the top six spots at Wednesday’s double-dual meet at Kelsey Creek Park in Bellevue, finishing with a near-perfect 18 points in a victory over Lake Washington and Bellevue.
Rebel senior Santos Zaid won the race in 17 minutes, 48 seconds, followed closely behind by Erik Oldenburger (17:59) and freshman Noah Kells (18:05).
Finishing fifth was sophomore Andrew Burt in 18:10, and rounding out the placers was freshman Nick Goodwin, coming in sixth (18:27).
Tops for Lake Washington was Devon Grove in 18:33.
On the girls’ side, the Rebels weren’t quite able to keep up with a deep Bellevue team, losing 25-51.
