The Juanita fastpitch program continued it's unbeaten streak this spring, with wins over league opponents Interlake and cross town rival Lake Washington last week.

The Juanita fastpitch program continued it’s unbeaten streak this spring, with wins over league opponents Interlake and cross town rival Lake Washington last week.

On Tuesday, April 5, the Rebels beat Interlake 14-0. The game started with a nine run first inning for Juanita, followed by two in the second and two in the fourth.

Dani Faist was 3-3 during the game, with two runs and two RBI, while her sister Lexi Faist was also 3-3 at the plate, with three runs, five RBI, a double and a triple. Teammate Katie Kent was 2-2 and had three RBI.

During a rescheduled game against Lake Washington on April 7, the Rebels won 12-0.

Once again, Juanita started the game off with a big first inning, score five, then six in the second.

This game Kent was 1-2 with three RBI and a double, while Keana Miller was 2-2 with an RBI and Rachel O’Neill was 2-2 and three RBI.

Lake Washington falls to Eastlake

The Lake Washington softball team fell to non-conference foe Eastlake on April 8. The Kangs lost 6-0 to the Wolves at Crestwoods Park.

Eastlake had five runs in the first two innings, but Lake Washington kept them from advancing any farther with solid defense until the fifth inning, when the Wolves added their final run of the match. Eastlake had eight hits and one error during the game, while Lake Washington had two hits they couldn’t turn into runs.

Lake Washington will face Mount Si on Tuesday, April 19 and Mercer Island on April 21.
