The Juanita High School girls basketball team lost to Mercer Island, 71-63, on Wednesday in Kirkland.

The Islanders began the game with a six-point advantage but Juanita stormed back to take a 37-32 lead by halftime. Mercer Island dominated the second half, outscoring the Rebels 39-26.
