The defending state champion Juanita High School softball team dropped to 0-2 on Thursday with a 14-11 loss at Bothell.

Juanita collected nine hits, the same as the Cougars, during the scoring fest. But the Rebels could not score during the final inning and a third against Bothell relief pitcher Liz Olson.

Juanita was led by Kristina Warford and Eden Radke, who were each 2-for-4 at the plate.

The Rebels will look for their first win the young season today against Sammamish at Juanita High School.
