The Juanita High School girls tennis team defeated Mount Si, 4-3, behind a sweep of singles play on Wednesday.

The Rebels’ No. 1, 2 and 4 seeds, Angela Lothian, Grace Wang, and Sheer Shalom all won with a dominant 8-0 final score. Juanita’s No. 3 singles player Sara Subo doubled up her opponent with an 8-4 victory.

Mount Si came back during doubles play with three wins. However, the Juanita players kept the matches close, as Odsuren Enkhbataar and Karina Karmali lost by just two points, 6-8; Judy Vue and Maggie Jiang lost by one point, 8-7; and Erika De La Torre and Emily Do lost by just three points, 8-5.

The Rebels improve to 2-0 as a team with the win.
