Juanita High School senior Molly Grager wins state high jump title

Juanita senior Molly Grager completed her ultimate goal by winning a state title in the high jump and giving her team good start to the two-day event on Thursday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

The first day of the state track and field meet began well for the Juanita High School girls track and field team, which is in search of a team title.

Juanita senior Molly Grager completed her ultimate goal by winning a state title in the high jump, giving her team good start to the three-day event on Thursday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma. The meet continues today and will all the events will be completed on Saturday.

Grager cleared 5-feet, 4-inches to win the 3A state title. She only cleared 4-feet, 10-inches during last year’s state meet, a disappointing finish to a great junior year.

Grager won the district title with the same 5-feet, 4-inch effort last week in West Seattle.
