The Juanita High School girls basketball team lost to Lakeside in a heartbreaking, 57-56, district tournament game on Friday at Bellevue College.
The loss ends the Rebels’ season one game short of the state tournament.
Juanita began the game with an 18-13 advantage during the first quarter but Lakeside cut that lead to one point by halftime.
Juanita again gained a multiple possession lead, 48-42, during the third quarter but the Lions came back again, outscoring the Rebels 15-8 during the fourth quarter.
Tea Adams led Juanita with 24 points.
