Juanita and Lake Washington track and field athletes notched nine individual titles at the 3A KingCo championships on May 10 and 12 at Skyline High.
In the team standings, Juanita’s boys took second and LW placed sixth; on the girls’ side, LW took second and Juanita placed fourth.
For LW’s boys, Cody Wilson won the 100-meter run in 11.28; Wilson, Jeff Young, Jet Yinn and Samuel Showalter won the 4×100-meter relay in 43.81; and Brady Gockel won the javelin in 161.11.
For Juanita’s boys, Kegan Wilks won the 300-meter hurdles in 41.31; and Ryan Greenwalt won the long jump in 21-04.50.
On the Juanita girls’ side, Shelby Wilks won the 100- and 300-meter hurdles in 16.59 and 47.16, respectively; and Katrina Teo won the pole vault in 11-01.00.
For LW’s girls, Yael Pasumansky, Lizzie Bensussen, Taryn Chisholm and Thayer Davis won the 4×100 relay in 51.17.
