Juanita moves into post season as KingCo’s No. 1 | Prep girls basketball results

For the second consecutive season, the Juanita girls basketball team finished the regular season at the league’s No. 1 team. The Lady Rebels won the title after finishing the season with a 12-2 league record and 17-3 overall record.

For the second consecutive season, the Juanita girls basketball team finished the regular season at the league’s No. 1 team. The Lady Rebels won the title after finishing the season with a 12-2 league record and 17-3 overall record.

The Rebels will begin the post season, as the No. 1 seed going into the KingCo tournament, on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Bellevue College. Juanita will face the winner of the Mount Si vs. Bellevue matchup which takes place on Monday.

The Rebels only league losses this season went to Liberty, the No. 3 KingCo team, and Lake Washington, which finished No. 2.

With a win on Tuesday, the Rebels would move into the girls title game on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Bellevue College at 8:15 p.m. A loss Tuesday would put the team into the consolation bracket, playing for third or fourth place at 4:45 p.m.

The top four teams from the KingCo tournament will move forward into next week’s SeaKing district basketball competition. The top five teams from the district basketball tournament will advance to the regional round of the state competition.
