The Juanita High School softball team defeated Inglemoore 8-0 Friday at home to start the season.

Juanita took an early 6-0 lead after the first two innings. The team was led by Allison Rhodes, who pitched a complete game shutout,  stringing out 11 batters and walking just one.

Keana Miller, Cami Pettengill and Amanda Tsujakawa all collected two hits each, while Pettengill led the team with three RBI.
