The Juanita High School volleyball team lost to Lakeside 3-0 Thursday.

The Rebels got off to a bad start, losing the first two games 25-11 and 25-11. But Juanita nearly doubled its point total during the final game of the match, losing 25-20.

Lauren Friend led the Rebels on offense with eight kills, while Marla Encisco had 15 assists.

The defense was led by Delaney-Deanna Chan with 14 digs.
