The Juanita High School girls basketball team lost just one game during the regular season on its way to a 3A KingCo title. But the Rebels showed they are human Tuesday night, losing to Bellevue, 56-48, during the semifinals of the 3A KingCo tournament at Bellevue College.

The Rebels struggled to take control during the first half as they had during the team’s two regular season meetings. By halftime, Bellevue held a 24-23 lead.

Juanita did take control during the third quarter by doubling up Bellevue, 20-10. But the fourth quarter was a nightmare for the Rebels on offense, scoring just five points, while Bellevue crashed the boards with 22 points for the comeback victory.
