The Juanita High School softball team won its first in-league game of the season by clobbering Mount Si 9-4 on Monday.

The Juanita High School softball team won its first in-league game of the season by clobbering Mount Si 9-4 on Monday in Kirkland.

Mount Si finished the game with more hits than Juanita, 11-7, but it was the big blasts that made the difference.

Rebel Lisa Nelson finished the game 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI, while teammate Clare Sovacool finished 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Milly Kawabata benefited from all the offense, picking up the win. She threw a complete game, giving up four earned runs while striking out four batters.
