Juanita, winner of two straight, came in to the season finale at Juanita High School looking to draw even with Interlake in the season standings and win the league’s second seed on head-to-head tiebreaker.

Instead, Lake Washington dealt Juanita a 2-1 loss, dropping the Rebels (6-8-2 overall, 6-4-2) to third despite sweeping second-seeded Interlake in the season series.

Lake Washington (5-6-1, 6-9-1) snapped a three-game losing streak. It was the final game for Lake Washington seniors Jonathan Acoltzi, Aidan Henderson, Justin Soto, George Lymberis, Matteo Loi, Jose Torres, Billy Wiskel, Matthew Canin, Sam Price and Pepe Campuzano.

Next, the Rebels are scheduled to play Bellevue, the No. 4 seed, in the KingCo 3A tournament on Monday, May 9 at Juanita High School. Juanita lost to Bellevue 0-2 and beat Bellevue 1-0 to split the regular season series.
