Northwest Aerials team member Casey Benson, age 14, won the national champion title as a level 10, junior elite and regional all-star competitor during the national gymnastics competition in Kansas City, Miss. on July 6.

He beat all competitors, includes ages 17 and over, by 4.10, with a team record of 134.30.

Benson is working towards the world competition in Sofia, Bulgaria in November.

He was state champion in April at the competition held at the Renton Community Center, as well as regional champion in Las Vegas and won second in double mini and third in power tumbling in Dallas, Texas at the Elite Challenge last May.
