Kirkland plays today at 5 p.m. in Junior League Softball World Series

Kirkland’s all-star team will face the West squad from Missoula, Mont., at 5 p.m. today in championship play at the Junior League Softball World Series at Everest Park. It is one of four single-elimination games today.

Kirkland finished Pool A play 2-2 and is the pool’s No. 3 seed. The West finished Pool B play 3-1 and is the pool’s No. 2 seed.

The semifinals are tomorrow and the final is at noon on Saturday and will be televised live on ESPN.
