Kirkland resident, JHS senior Jaisa Nunn selected as WIAA Athlete of the Week | Prep girls basketball

Each week throughout the school year, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) recognizes twelve varsity athletes, a male and a female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week.

Each week throughout the school year, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) recognizes twelve varsity athletes, a male and a female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week.

Juanita High School senior Jaisa Nunn was nominated by a community member and selected by WIAA staff as one of the Athletes of the Week for achievements in Basketball.

Nunn scored 27 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, in last week’s contest for the Rebels.

In recognition of their accomplishment, each Athlete of the Week winner receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director, Mike Colbrese, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week t-shirt, and a certificate. Winners are also posted to the WIAA website at www.wiaa.com.
