The 2013 Kirkland Softball 10/9 All-Star team brought home the District 9 all-star championship banner July 6 with a 8-7 victory over a tough Redmond team.

Kirkland went 4-0 in the seven team tournament hosted at Everest Park, getting two wins each from pitchers Mackenzie Burke and Abbie Reynolds. The girls hammered out 53 runs in the four games, including a two-homer game by Amy Chen in the semi-finals against Sno-Valley.

Coached by Chris Burke, John Carelli, and Shane Reynolds, the team now advances to the state tournament in Vancouver, Wash. this week.
