Lake Washington soccer split their games last week, falling to Bellevue after beating Liberty in two conference games.
On Tuesday, April 26, the team hosted the Patriots. Jordan Cox hit the back of the net first for the Kangs, assisted by Justin Manao in the 35 minute. The Kangs were able to hold off Liberty until an unassisted goal in the 53 minute tied the game.
Unwilling to let it slip away Manao, assisted by Adam Krebs found his way through in the waning moments of the game to take the win.
Last Friday, against Bellevue the Kangs lost 3-0. The Wolverines held off Lake Washington while scoring once in the first half and twice in the second to take the game.
The Kangs are 6-5-1 this season in league matches.
Juanita ends week with three losses
With just a few games left in the regular season, the Juanita Rebels soccer team ended last week with three losses.
On Friday, April 22 the Rebels lost 3-0 to Bellevue. The Wolverines got out early, scoring their first goal at the 10 minute mark, followed by a second at 25 minutes. The third and final goal of the evening came at 40 minutes on an unassisted goal by Mitch Johnson.
Against Mount Si on April 26, the Rebels lost 2-1. Juanita, hosting the match, held the Wildcats off until the 32 minute when Matt Eichler scored an unassisted goal. Juanita responded off a Dylan Marshall goal in the 69 minute to tied the game. It remained dead even until Kody Clearman found his way through score the winning goal in the 77 minute.
Friday, April 29 the team traveled to Liberty, where the Rebels lost 1-0. Blake Kessler scored the only goal of the night for the Patriots, assisted by Josh Muttart in the 65 minute.
The team will play at Lake Washington on Friday, May 6 in the final game of the regular season.
