The Lake Washington High School softball team defeated Bainbridge Island, 8-2, on Friday behind a big night from starting pitcher Tori Bivens at the Southwest Athletic Complex in West Seattle.
Bivens threw a complete game and struck out 12 batters. However, she was also a force at the late, smashing a home run and a double, finishing with two RBI.
The Kangs now advance to the state tournament next week.
