The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team defeated Ferndale, 53-43, on Tuesday at Eastside Catholic.

Ferndale held a three-point advantage at halftime but the Kangs took control of the contest during the second half.

Lake Washington was led by Hanna Brender with 13 points, as nine players scored for the Kangs.
