Lake Washington falls to Liberty during Patriots homecoming | LW football

As if visiting the No. 6 team in the state wasn't going to be enough of a challenge for the Lake Washington football team last Friday, it also happened to be the Patriots homecoming night.

As if visiting the No. 6 team in the state wasn’t going to be enough of a challenge for the Lake Washington football team last Friday, it also happened to be the Patriots homecoming night.

The Kangs lost 63-7 during the game. Liberty held the Kangs scoreless until the final quarter of the game, allowing Shawn Grey to successfully complete a 1-yard run, followed by an Adam Krebs kick.

Before that point the Patriots racked up 14 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second, 14 in the third and seven in the fourth. Chander Jenkins scored five touchdowns during the game, while kicked Trevor Merritt completed eight kicks for extra points.

Lake Washington hosts 2A Interlake Friday at home. The Saints are 1-5 this season, and are coming off a 41-14 win over Sammamish last Friday in the annual Crossroads Cup game. Lake Washington is 2-4 overall this season and 1-3 in league play.
