Lake Washington falls to Redmond football

After turning in a surprising, but welcome win over Garfield in week one, the Lake Washington football team couldn't rally to overcome any early deficit against Redmond last week. The Kangs lost 28-7.

After turning in a surprising, but welcome win over Garfield in week one, the Lake Washington football team couldn’t rally to overcome any early deficit against Redmond last week. The Kangs lost 28-7.

Redmond started off the night at Lake Washington with two early touchdowns for a 14-0 start to the game. Neither team advanced far enough to put points on the board during the second quarter, but Redmond struck again during the third adding two more touchdowns to it’s total for the night.

Lake Washington was able to gain some momentum for a touchdown of their own for a 28-7 game.

Friday, the Kangs will travel to Mount Si to take on the Wildcats in the team’s first home league game of the season. Lake Washington is 1-1 this season after two weeks of non-conference play.

The Wildcats are coming off a home loss to 4A Bothell last Friday. Bothell beat Mount Si 27-20 in a non-league match up. During the first week the team beat Woodinville 28-6.
