The Lake Washington girls basketball team played a close game against Shorecrest on Wednesday, Nov. 30 but couldn’t pull ahead for the win.
The Kangs lost 52-45.
The teams were close in the first half with the score at the break 29-27 for Shorecrest. In the third quarter the Kangs scored 12 points, as did Shorecrest, but the Scots pulled away in the fourth quarter with 11 points to Lake Washington’s six.
During the game Hunter Hopkins had 14 points, Margo Lynott added 10, as did Sara Wilson. Whitney Dunlap hd five points, while Peyton Wozeniak had four and Madison Shepard added two points.
The Kangs host Interlake in a 6:30 p.m. game on Friday, Dec. 2 and will travel to take on Juanita on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
