Lake Washington High School senior to compete in U18 Alpine Nationals in Colorado

Sydney Kraabel, Lake Washington High School senior, has earned her spot in the U18 Alpine Nationals in Vail, Colorado.

This week, Sydney will compete in all of the alpine disciplines that include Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom and Slalom. She has been a ski racer since age 5 and is a member of the PNSA (Pacific Northwest) Alpine team, and skis for Crystal Mountain (CMAC).

She will compete against the top athletes in the country, and has earned her place in the race by successful racing throughout the season at races in the West Region that include Sun Valley, Park City and Schweitzer. She hopes to continue her racing career in college in the fall.
