Up against the defending state champions, Juanita fell to Bellevue Friday night, in a KingCo conference game. The Wolverines won 42-14.
Bellevue earned seven unanswered points in the first quarter, and scored twice more in second quarter, to the Rebels one touchdown by Oscar Fuentes. The half ended with a 21-7 score.
In the second half, the game repeated the first, with Bellevue scoring the only touchdown of the third quarter, followed by a 14-7 fourth quarter. Travis Marshall made the touchdown run for Juanita in last minutes of the game.
This Friday the Rebels host Mount Si at 7 p.m. Last year the team’s battled it out, with the Rebels earning an 18-17 win over the Wildcats. This season the Rebels are 1-3 in conference and 2-4 overall, while Mount Si is 3-1 in league and 4-2 overall.
Lake Washington hosted Liberty last Friday, in a second straight home game. The Kangs could not overcome Liberty’s point total, losing 42-7.
Liberty posted 21 points in each of the first two quarters, but remained scoreless in the second half. Lake Washington earned it’s only touchdown of night in the fourth quarter, off a 6-yard run by Gavin Santjer-Goetz.
The Kangs will travel to play Interlake this Friday at 7 p.m. So far this season Lake Washington is 0-4 in conference games and 2-4 overall, while Interlake is 1-3 and 1-5 overall. Last year Lake Washington beat the Saints at home 34-13.
