Lake Washington and Juanita’s boys and girls basketball teams will close out their 2A/3A KingCo regular seasons with some Kirkland rivalry matchups on Friday night.
The girls tip things off at 6:30 p.m. and the boys will engage in the nightcap at 8 p.m., both at LW.
LW and Juanita’s girls will meet again on Feb. 11 in the 3A KingCo Tournament championship match at 6:30 p.m. at Sammamish High. LW is the top seed with a 10-1 record and Juanita is second at 8-3 (Liberty stands at 10-2 and moves into the 2A playoffs).
Both LW (15-4 overall) and Juanita (13-6 overall) will advance to the SeaKing District Tournament.
On the boys’ side, LW (3-8, 8-11) will play Bellevue in a loser-out 3A KingCo Tournament game at 5 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Sammamish High. The winner advances to the SeaKing District Tournament.
Juanita (1-10, 3-16) will be finished for the season after Friday’s game.
