The Lake Washington boys basketball team lost to Skyline during the 4A KingCo tournament Friday, 52-42, at Juanita High School.

The Kangs struggled during the first half of play, scoring just eight points in each of the first two quarters.

The Spartans kept the pressure on during the third quarter, outscoring Lake Washington 16-12. The Kangs cut into the lead during the fourth period but found themselves too far behind to complete a comeback.

Lake Washington was led by Darien Nelson-Henry, who scored 12 points, and Matt Staudacher with 10 points.
