The Lake Washington High School softball team scored in double figures during two separate innings on Wednesday, crushing Mercer Island, 29-7, in a mercy-rule shortened game on Mercer Island.

The Kangs began the game by scoring 10 runs during the top of the first inning. After trading two-run third inning at-bats, Lake Washington made no doubt of which team would win, taking a 23-2 lead during the top of the fourth.

No individual stats were reported for Lake Washington.
