LW, Juanita baseball playoff games postponed because of lightning

At this point, the game was to start an hour late at about 5 p.m. because of lightning, but was postponed for the evening a few minutes later when more lightning appeared. A pair of 3A KingCo baseball playoff games featuring Lake Washington and Juanita at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue were postponed this evening due to lightning.

The games are rescheduled for Friday: Lake Washington versus Bellevue at 4 p.m. and Juanita versus Mercer Island at 7 p.m. at Bannerwood. Both games were originally set for those same times this evening.

The LW/Bellevue game was delayed until 5 p.m. and the teams took the field, but umpires said they saw lightning again and the game was postponed along with the nightcap game.
