LW, Juanita softball hit big in victories

Lake Washington softball beat Liberty, 26-1, on Monday and defeated Interlake, 27-0, on Wednesday.

Against Liberty, Anna Robinson had a home run and five RBIs, Emma Rosendal had four hits, Tori Bivens and Hailey Menssen had three hits and five RBIs each and Olivia Smallman had three hits.

In the Interlake game, Bivens had five hits, including a grand slam and eight RBIs; and LW got three hits each from Smallman, Menssen, Robinson, Rosendal, Marissa Ewald and Amy Chen.

Bivens got the win with nine strikeouts.

• Juanita softball downed Sammamish, 22-3, on Monday.

Kristina Warford and Lexi Blackburn slammed homers and Tatum Kawabata had three hits and two RBIs.
