The Lake Washington softball team earned a mercy-rule victory against Mercer Island Monday at home, 14-3, in five innings.

The Kangs pounded Islander pitching for 13 hits during the game.

The Kangs scored three in the first but the Islanders got one back during the top of the second.
But the Kang proved to be too much for Mercer Island, scoring three more in the third, five in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Lake Washington’s Cori Meyers went 3-for-4 with a double during the contest.
