Lake Washington notched a come-from-behind, 6-4 softball victory over Redmond on Saturday at the University of Washington’s Husky Stadium.
Redmond led 4-0 after four innings, and LW scored three in the six and three in the seventh to claim the victory.
LW’s Marissa Ewald bombed a dramatic three-run homer in the top of the seventh to give the Kangs the lead; Hailey Menssen had one hit and one RBI; and Olivia Smallman had one RBI. Pitcher Tori Bivens went the distance and fanned six.
For Redmond, University of Tennessee commit Kiki Milloy had two hits, including a triple and an RBI; Jen Cummings had two hits and two RBIs; Lauren Lund had two hits; and Lindsay Tsujikawa had one hit and one RBI. Milloy also had 10 strikeouts from the pitchers’ circle.
