The Lake Washington girls soccer team earned a tie against winless Bothell Thursday. But a tie is always better than a loss.
Bothell got on the board early with a goal during the 31st minute. It looked like Lake Washington would come up short as Bothell held the lead for most of the game. But a late drive deep into Bothell’s end of the field gave the Kangs one last shot – literally.
Lake Washington’s Cassie Lively brought the ball up and found teammate Emma Holm, who put the ball into the back of the net during the final two minutes of regulation.
The Kangs are now 1-4-1 in league play and 1-7-2 overall.
