Utah State University senior Dillon Maggard earned his second career cross country All-American honor in the last week as he placed sixth at the NCAA National Championships on Nov. 18 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Lake Washington High graduate finished the 10K course in a personal-best time of 29 minutes, 16.20 seconds.
Maggard’s finish is the best ever for an Aggie at the national championships as the harrier led Utah to a 27th-place finish out of 31 teams with 603 points. It was Utah’s first-ever appearance as a team in the national championships meet.
Maggard, who placed 12th last year with a time of 30:03.09, is the only Aggie with multiple cross country All-American accolades.
