No. 8 ranked Northwest Christian men’s basketball team overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the NU Eagles, 68-57, to win their 15th straight game and remain atop the Cascade Conference standings on Friday. Northwest U led NCU 28-26, but the Beacons came back to outscore the Eagles 42-29 in the second half.
Michael Dupree would lead Northwest U (10-17, 6-10 CCC) with a game high 25 points. Teammate Dak Shagren scored 13 and Zach Smith added 10 points and 9 rebounds. NU would manage just 33 percent shooting going 20 for 60 from the field and hit six of 26 three-point attempts for 23 percent. NU shot 79 percent from the foul line going 11 for 14.
