The Oregon Tech womens basketball team put on a furious fourth-quarter rally to pull away and beat Northwest University, 67-57, in the quarterfinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament on Tuesday in Klamath Falls, Ore.
Oregon Tech outscored Northwest 22-11 in the final period, including a 14-0 run to open the quarter.
Northwest’s Miranda Langenhorst led the Eagles (15-16) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Mariah Stacona scored 13 points and Hannah Carlson added 11.
Langenhorst, who was selected as the conference player of the week, registered her third straight double-double.
Morgan Roberts-Ili and Nohea Waiwaiole each scored 16 points to lead Oregon Tech (24-7), which moves on to face Eastern Oregon in the conference semifinals on Feb. 24. College of Idaho is set to play Southern Oregon in the other semifinal.
It was the final game for NU seniors Victoria Makin and Paige Burson.
Langenhorst led the conference in rebounding with 9.3 boards per game this season, and finished fourth in field-goal percentage at 56.8 percent. Langenhorst led Northwest in scoring with 11.7 points per game.
