Northwest University (NU) announced the signing of prep soccer player Jack Macdonald to a letter of intent to attend and play for the Eagles fall 2017.

Macdonald, a 6-foot-3, 165 pound forward, will graduate from Issaquah High School this spring where he plays varsity soccer. His coach is Northwest University graduate and former player, Kyle Tatro. Prior to transferring to Issaquah HS, Jack played soccer at Cedar Park Christian in Bothell and was named team MVP as a sophomore.

“I’m really excited about signing Jack to play for us at NU,” said NU head coach Gary McIntosh. “I’ve known Jack for many years and I really wanted him to come play for us. Jack is a composed, complete player who knows how to score goals. He has great technique and the mental capacity to be very successful at the college level. He also brings a high level of play and success with him and I know he will have an immediate impact and make us better team. Jack will be a great fit for NU.”

He played his select soccer for the Eastside FC B98 Red team. Macdonald plans on majoring in Business at Northwest University.
