Northwest University volleyball adds four to 2010 roster

The Northwest University volleyball team has added four student-atheltes to the 2010 roster, according to a news release from the school.

The additions include: Heather Schulke, a transfer and defensive specialist from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, who is originally from Longview, Wash., Sarah Stoker, a middle blocker from Olympia, Molly Boyle, another middle blocker from Ridgefield, Wash., and Alexa Brown from Sprague, Wash.

“I am very excited for our four incoming recruits,” said head coach Jessie Dietrich in the release. “They are not only very talented on the volleyball court, but also amazing women as well. All four of them will fit in great with the chemistry of our team. Alexa and Heather will bring depth to our back row which was a weakness for our team this past season. Molly and Sarah will bring more height and athleticism to our already steady front row. I am excited to see how each of these four girls will develop and make an impact during their career at Northwest.”

The team begins their 2010 season with the NW Alumni Game on Aug. 20, before heading to the Lewis-Clark State tournament in Idaho the following weekend. The Eagles finished the 2009 season 8-19 overall. It will be Dietrich’s second season as head coach.
