Northwest University volleyball team wages comeback, edges St. Martin’s in five sets

The Northwest University (NU) volleyball team came from back a 2-1 set deficit to defeat St. Martin’s 3-2 (25-22, 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-9) for a non-conference victory on Sept. 9 in the NU Pavilion.

Freshman Amanda Waterman led the Eagles (7-6) with 13 kills and a match high 30 digs. Dakota Adams added 12 kills while teammate Christina Gleb had a team high 20 assists. Sophomore Leia Roy contributed 28 digs.

Kristyn Ross had 17 kills and 21 digs for the Saints (1-5). Brenna Peterson had a match high 41 assists for St. Martin’s and Jessica Riddle added 21 defensive digs.

NU continues conference play this Friday and Saturday when they host the College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon in Kirkland.
