The Juanita baseball team defeated Mercer Island 3-1 on Monday at Lee Johnson Field in Kirkland.

The Islanders got on the board during the first inning but their bats went silent during the rest of the game thanks to the pitching of Taylor Dantini, who picked up the win, Tyler Eng and Sean Brennan for the save.

The Rebels scored one run in the third inning to tie the game and then two more during the fourth. Both Mike Petter and Bradley Close had two hits during the game.

Petter and Conner Jackson each picked up RBI.
