The Central Park Tennis Club, located in the Bridal Trails neighborhood, held a U.S Tennis Association Level 4 girls’ tournament from Dec. 17-19, with girls competing in eight divisions from age 12-18.
Lamija Avidic defeated Neena Feldman 6-4, 6-4 in the girls’ 12-year-old singles final, and Hokualohi Lui defeated Ellie Gershaw 8-6 in the 12 singles consolation.
Kaitlyn Ye and Annika Renganathan defeated Lui and Morevek Lucia 8-0 in the 12 doubles final.
Amber Edmonds beat Meagan Pearson 6-2, 6-1 in the 14 singles final, followed by Nancy Cabanas over Annaliese Angier, 8-6, in the 14 consolation final.
Erika Ito and Amelia Asfaw beat Pearson and Karina Chao, 8-6, in the 14 doubles final.
Kaitlin Tan defeated Taylor Anderson, 6-3, 6-2, in the 16 singles final and Serim Jin beat Jessica Liang, 8-5, in the 16 consolation final.
Serim and Taylor beat Liang and Paige Sorgen, 8-3, in the 14 doubles final.
Tan and Yolanda Lin won the 18 doubles final, beating Chloe Chu and Katherine Fleischman, 8-4.
Vivian Glozman won the 18 singles final by injury forfeit over Paiton Wagner and Maggie Flocchi won the 18 singles consolation, 8-4, over Anna Lowy.
