The Lake Washington High School volleyball team lost 3-0 to Mercer Island Wednesday at home thanks to a very slow start.

The Kangs only managed to score eight points during the first game but pushed the second game down to the wire, losing 25-23. The Islanders won the third game 25-17.

No individual results were reported.

Lake Washington will travel to Interlake for a 7 p.m. match on Monday.
