The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team twice came out strong from the locker room Friday night, defeating Mount Si 47-36.
The Kangs built a 14-6 advantage during the first quarter but Mount Si played its visitors close during the second quarter. Lake Washington again came out from the locker rooms strong, smothering the Wildcats with a 13-3 third-quarter advantage. Mount Si would turn the tables during the fourth quarter with a 13-3 advantage of their own but it was too little too late.
Lake Washington was led by Sydney Shepard with 17 points and Carly Rataushk with 15.
