Three Kirkland students competed during on the first day of the girls state golf meet held at Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland, Wash.

Lake Washington High School athletes Isabel Achbacher and Emily Bunnell, along with Juanita High School athlete Miranda Pehrson, all competed during the first day but did not qualify for the second day. Achbacher shot a 95 on the par 72, while Bunnell and Pehrson both finished with a 96.
